My favourite tools to make food from scratch in the kitchen

Tiny child's hand on the big ball of dough in the large blue mixing bowl.

Chennai Turquoise Big Bowl

Indiska

This turquoise bowl is one of the most amazing bowls to make bread dough with! It is large enough to knead the dough and perfect for many Moroccan recipes.

See this beautiful large ceramic bowl in use in the post: “Msemen recipe | Crispy Square Moroccan Pancakes (Rghaif)

Houcho Gyuto Knife

Satake

This Satake Cook’s knife is my staple in the kitchen tools. I love the wooden handle and how it is easy to crush almonds and cut easily both meat and vegetables.

I have used this Houcho Gyuto Knife in many recipes, but to mention a few: Runeberg torte | Traditional Finnish almond cake recipe and my other Satake knife with the black handle you can see in Halal Meal Prep 2 | How we prep our meals for healthy Ramadan post, for Satake knives are my go-to what comes to meal prepping!

Moroccan teapot

The tea tastes better when the teapot is a beautiful one. I have brought this in our back bags from Morocco, but there can be found similar ones online too if you are not visiting Morocco anytime soon.

This is the most perfect way to steep some Moroccan Mint tea, which I have shared in the post: How to make Moroccan Mint Tea: recipe, serving and culture. Just notice that there are sold teapots with and without legs. If you plan to steep on the stove choose the one without legs otherwise it won’t work.

Arabic coffee pot

Though I love tea over anything, making some coffee Turkish style is something amazing. This is totally a no-fuss way to make some coffee. I have using this for a long time and I cannot remember the exact place to purchase this, but I have found for you a similar kind, simple pot with simple forms that you will love.

I have used the pot in the post: Delicious Moroccan Spiced Coffee Recipe | Make in 10 minutes.

My favourite tools and ingredients to take care of home and balcony garden

Against the blue bathroom tile a small glass jar with balm, lid open. Some lavender sprinkled on the side.

Essential oils for cleaning and balms

Nurme Cosmetics

The essential oils I use for house cleaning, balms, and creams are almost always from an Estonian company Nurme Cosmetics. Their products are simple, responsible, and truly natural. Nurme has been rewarded several times to acknowledge their amazing work in cosmetics.

I have used the essential oils in the Homemade cocoa butter lip balm recipe and in a Quick home cleaning spray recipe in number 5. Do it yourself instead of buying new in the post Money Saving Hacks | How to Save Money as a Homemaker

Flora and Fauna trowel and fork

Burgon & Ball

The most beautiful trowel that I have ever owned with a turquoise handle is the one by Burgon & Ball. When I purchased this gardening set years ago, there was a trowel and fork like in this red handle Passiflora gardening package. Now they have in the turquoise Flora and Fauna package adorable secateurs with the trowel. I must say that the packaging itself was so beautiful that I kept the box in use for years!
